Control

A program control is easy. After running main aplication in RADIX.EXE will be showed an interactive window with two buttoms - Encode and Decode.

After pressing Encode you can chose the file in an interactive windnow, which will be encoded.

Next chose a picture, the file has to be hidden at. Finally enter password, if is not entered through a INI file. In directory with the encoded file, will be generated a new file of a same name with selected picture. The file contents encoded data.

After pressing Decode you chose a picture in interactive window, which contents encoded data. Follow password request, if is not entered through a INI file. In the next interactive window enter name and position of file, where decoded data will be saved.

Instalation

You can situate the program to a random directory. The program makes any changes neither in system nor registers. A Directory, where is situated the program, will create initiation file RADIX.INI. You can set up an item PASSWORD_FILE= in here, where you enter a name of a file, where the password is saved. If this item in not entered or file does not exist, the program will request the password.

A directory where is situated the program, are creating all of the auxiliary files during encoding or decoding.

How does it work

Encoding and decoding is procceed in a few steps. First the file zip itself, then ensue encoding and finally decoding to a picture. Extraction of a file procceed by inverse operation.

Notes to a chosing the pictures

• the picture should be sized enough, minimum 50 % extensive than encoded data, better more extensive
• you can use pictures Windows bitmap format, not compressed and with colored depth 24 bits. Durong the encoding the picture will be little degraded, that is why is necessary to check the picture after decoding
• do not use pictures generated by computer, which contents smooth surface and sharp edges. Any inequality is really appreciable on these pictures
• the pictures available on internet which anybody can download are inapplicable
• the most applicable are photos from a digital camera or scanned photos
